About the doctor
Specialist in general and abdominal surgery.
From 1990 to 1997, Dr Grützmann conducted medical research at the Charité Clinic in Berlin. He then worked for several months with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) and then moved to Dresden University Hospital. After 2005, Professor Grützmann found the field of research that attracted him most and became an international pancreatic cancer specialist. He has published around 120 specialist articles, for which he has received numerous awards. In addition, Professor Grützmann improved his surgical skills during his practice abroad at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester (USA) from 2007 to 2015. Prof. Grützmann is currently in charge of the department and department of surgery at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
