Graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School. Then he started working as a specialist doctor at Numune Educational Research Hospital in Ankara. In 2013, he received the title of Associate Professor and then started working as an education specialist at Ankara Education and Research Hospital (from 2013 to 2015). In 2014, he was also a doctor for the Ankaragücü football team.
Doctor regularly attends various courses in orthopaedics and traumatology, both as a teacher and as a participant. Professor Ertuğrul Akşahin has also been trained by leading surgeons and attended surgeries at the Steadman Clinic in Veil and Denver in 2015. In addition to the treatment of sports injuries, he is particularly interested in rehabilitation programmes and physical exercise to prevent injuries.
