About the doctor
Alfred Maier has been a leading surgeon at the Graz Ragnitz Clinic since 2001 and is a professor at the Faculty of Surgery at the Medical University of Graz.
He specializes in lung, oesophagus, stomach, chest wall, thyroid and mediastinal surgery as well as the removal of tumours. Since 2007 he has been the chairman of the Austrian Society for Thoracic Surgery.
