Dr. Rafael Rosell

Dr. Rafael Rosell is a specialist in the treatment of lung cancer, one of the most respected oncologists in the world. He is currently Head of the Oncology Medical Service and Scientific Director at the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), Gerimans Trias i Pujol Hospital in Barcelona. Head of the Cancer Medical Service at the Quiron Dexeus University Hospital in Barcelona, as well as the founder and principal supervisor of the research center at Pangea Biotech SA in Barcelona.

He is the author of more than 600 articles, and also delivered more than 800 presentations at medical and scientific conferences around the world and worked in scientific and organizational committees of many of the most important international congresses.

In 2013, according to one of the authoritative medical journals “The Lancet”, Dr. Roselle was recognized as the highest authority on lung cancer in Europe.

• Founder and President of the Spanish Society for the Treatment of Lung Cancer (SLCG);
• Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona;
• Council member of the Foundation and Steering Committee of the European Forum on Thoracic Oncology (ETOP);
• Board member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC);
• Dr. Rosell is the international editor of Clinical Lung Cancer magazine and a member of the editorial boards of many professional publications, including Lung Cancer, Annals of Oncology, American Journal of Cancer and Future Oncology.
