The professor began his medical career in the field of orthopedics and traumatology, rheumatology at the Vienna Medical University under the leadership of the popular professor K. Chiari.
During his medical practice he repeatedly took part in familiarization and scientific trips to the USA, England, France and the Scandinavian countries. Active participant and honorary member of many European and North American professional organizations.
From 1985 to 1987 he headed the Austrian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology. Since 2004, he has been active in medical and scientific activities on the basis of the Orthopedics and Traumatology unit of the Rudolfinerhaus.
