Leading specialist in vascular, thoracic, endovascular surgery in Germany. Head of the Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery of Duchess of Düsseldorf. He studied medicine at the universities of Ulm and Munich. Specialization in surgery was achieved in the basis of the University Clinic of Ulm. He conducted research in various institutes in Germany and the United States. For achievements in vascular surgery, more than 15 awards were awarded, among which numerous prizes from the German Society for Vascular Surgery, as well as the Gunther Schlag Memorial Prize. Since 2008 he is having a title of professor.
