About the doctor
Under the guidance of Professor Daniel Bitran, all the procedures and operations in the department are performed: implantation of a pacemaker, left atrial occlusion, mitral valve repair, catheterization, intensive heart therapy and ablation. Also, the doctor is an expert in the field of venous obstruction and radiology.
From 1973 to 1978, Professor Bitran conducted medical research at the University of Witwatersrand (Johannesburg, South Africa). In 1977 he underwent a two-month course of advanced elective cardiology in Tennessee, USA. Two years later he became a specialist in medicine and surgery, he also underwent a 3-year internship in radiology. Since 1989, he was a radiologist at the Hadassah Medical Center, Ein Karem.
In 1993, he conducted a radiology department at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. In 1996 he received a Albert Einstein scholarship in interventional radiology. To date, he is the director of a cardiosurgery unit in the center of Shaare Zedek.
