Dr. Bang is a well-known professor of medical oncology in South Korea and is president of the Institute of Biomedical Research and director of the Seoul National University Hospital Clinical Research Center. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine in 1979. He has held leadership positions at Seoul National University Cancer Research Institute, Korea Cancer Research Group, Clinical Oncology Association, Korea National Clinical Trials Enterprise, Seoul National University Medical College Department of Internal Medicine, and the Association for Cancer Control. Dr. Bang has co-authored more than 350 articles in international journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine and the Lancet. He is engaged in research and development of new anti-tumor drugs and participates in international clinical trials.
He is an expert in internal medicine and hematology, as well as medical oncology (stomach cancer, colon cancer).
