Dr. Tamir Benhur is the director of the neurology department at the Hadassah Medical Center. He is considered the leading doctor in Israel in the field of neurology and specializes in: multiple sclerosis; malignant tumors of the retina of the eye; langerhancellular histiocytosis; children’s oncology; stem cell transplantation for the treatment of neurological pathology; diagnosis and treatment of neurodystrophic diseases. Professor received training on experimental neurobiology of stem cells in the Institute of Pasteur (France, Paris). He is engaged in research activities in the field of neuroimmunology, restoration of the nervous system, transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells. He was awarded grants from the Israeli Scientific Foundation, the National Association of Multiple Sclerosis in the United States. He is the author of 129 scientific publications, a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Neurology in Israel.
