About the doctor
Professor Ihsan is working as a neurosurgeon and professor at the University of Koch. His second position is as associate professor of basic research at the Medical School of Loma Linda University, California, USA.
His clinical interest is focused on neurovascular surgery and neurooncology. Dr. Solaroglu’s research focuses on hematopoietic growth factors in neuroprotection after an experimental stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury.
His research has been published in high-level scientific journals including Stroke, Neuroscience and the Journal of Neuroscience Research. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 works and 50 presentations.
Dr. Solaroglu was repeatedly awarded (including the Raji Prize for Young Neurosurgeons of 2007, the AACNS Young Neurosurgeon Award 2007) by different societies. Currently, Dr. Solaroglu is the President of IBNC and the Scientific Chairman of the World Congress of WFNS in 2017.
