Prof. Nevzat Tarhan

Professor Tarhan is the founder of the NP Brain Hospital as well as the Rector of the University of Uskudar.

Professor Dr Nevzat Tarhan is a scientist who has managed to bring faith and science together in his ideas and thoughts and to transfer this synergy into his personal and social life.

He has passed on his knowledge of psychiatry, which has been collected through many years of hard work, in more than 100 scientific articles published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, including more than 40 SCI journals. Thanks to these works, he became recognizable in the Turkish press.

• 1989, Stress and Diseases;
• 1991, Innovations in Psychopharmacology;
• 1992, Violence.

For 6 years he was editor of the international journal “Clinical Psychopharmacology”. He took an active part in the organization of the Congress N20 in 2015-2019, which is held in parallel with the G20.

Doctor’s awards:

• Best Researcher at the International Congress on Destructive Drives and Impulse Control, held in the Netherlands in 1991.
• “From Universal Scholarship to Invitation to World Peace Award” in the research branch of the World Scholarship Union “Supreme Universal Rumi Foundation”, 2017.
• Awarded the “Social Responsibility Award for Healthcare” in 2017 by Health Volunteers of Turkey and the magazine Hospital Manager for his contribution to the health care system.
• The only doctor in Turkey to have been awarded the “Golden Akson Award for Leadership” by the Brain Mapping Foundation.
