Prof. Metin Guden

Dr. Metin Güden started his medicine education in 1978 at Cerrahpaşa Medicine Faculty. Then he transferred to GATA Medicine Faculty. After he studied the 5th and 6th grades at GATA Medicine Faculty, he graduted in 1985 with success.

Having served at Istanbul GATA Haydarpaşa military hospital for one year, he served in Tatvan and Erciş respectively. He proceeded to his specialization at GATA Radiation Oncology Department having been admitted to the Radiation oncology specialty training in 1988 and became a radiation oncologist in 1988 by submitting his thesis on the effect of hyperthermia on ionized radiation.

He continued to serve as a lecturer at GATA Radiation Oncology Department having passed the assistant professorship examination in the same year and he became an assistant professor in 2003 by passing the assistant professorship examination.

He worked on gynecological tumors and brachytherapy until 2005 and transferred to the Private Anadolu Health Center Hospital in 2005. Here, he used the Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiosurgery (SBRT), Volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and Total body irradiation (TBI) theraphy techniques. He conducted national and international training and seminars with regards to these techniques. He started his service at Okan University Medicine Faculty as a lecturer in 2016 and was appointed to the professorship cadre in the same year.
