Prof. Ercan Kocakoç

Leading radiologist at Liv Vadistanbul Hospital. He specialises in various forms of radiation exposure including chemoembolization and radioembolization.

The doctor received his medical education at 19 Mayis University, continuing his medical education at Erciyes, Firat, Bezmialem Vakif and Yeditepe Universities; earning the title of professor at the latter three. Besides his extensive experience in Turkey, he has also practised at the prestigious Cleveland University Hospital(USA).

Dr Kocakoç is a member of many professional organisations including:

• Turkish Radiological Society;
• Medical Ultrasonography Association;
• Turkish Magnetic Resonance Association;
• Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology;
• European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (ESGAR);

The doctor’s special achievements include numerous awards, the most important among which are:

• From the European Congress of Radiology (2002);
• From the European Society of Radiology (2003);
• ESGAR (2007, 2009);
• Radiological Congress TURKRAD (2007).

The doctor is also an active researcher, having authored more than 265 publications, articles, reports, etc. in national and international journals.
