About the doctor
German gynecologist and oncologist. Director of the obstetrics department at Charite campus Virchow and director of the obstetrics at Charite named after Benjamin Franklin, as well as director of the interdisciplinary oncogynecological center Charite. He graduated from the Free University of Berlin. At the University of Humboldt, he studied multimodal management of malignant ovarian tumors.
In 2007 he received the title of Professor of Gynecology in the basis of the Charité clinic. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Northeastern German Society of Gynecologic Oncology, Chairman of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Berlin, and the Press Secretary of the Association of Gynecologic Oncology (AGO). In 2015 he received the Focus award for his achievements in the field of female oncology, in 2016 he was awarded the prize of the Moroccan King Mohammed VI for scientific achievements, and in 2017 he was awarded the German Daiwan Prize.
