Dr. Faik Altıntaş

Dr. Faik Altıntaş is the acting professor, the head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Yeditepe, one of the most famous orthopedic traumatologists in Turkey.
For more than 36 years of medical practice, the doctor has more than 3000 endoprosthetics of knee and hip joints of varying degrees of complexity.

His medical career began in 1976, where he received the qualification of a doctor, graduating from the Medical Faculty of the University of Hacettepe. The is the head of Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology since 2007. In his career as a doctor he earned large number of professional awards that have been awarded to him for the development of minimally invasive surgical interventions to correct orthopedic pathologies in adults and children.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology , where he repeatedly directed some profile research groups (osteoporosis, endoprosthetics, osteoarthrosis). He dedicated 8 years of his medical practice, to surgical correction of manifestations of cerebral palsy in children, as well as studying aspects of the application of botulinum toxin in children with cerebral palsy. He regularly participates in international symposiums and congresses as part of his specialization. Dr.Faik Altıntaş is certificated by the American academy of orthopedists-traumatologists, and also the European council of orthopedists-traumatologists. He speaks Turkish and English.
