A cardiologist with a worldwide reputation. He graduated from the University of Karl Eberhard. He studied experimental cardiology at the University Center of Durham (USA). Later he received additional specialization in echocardiography. For 10 years he worked at the University Clinic of Tübingen, where he was head of the cardiology department.
For 16 years he has been in charge of the Department of Cardiology and General Medicine at the University Hospital of Solingen. For many years he has been conducting research in Germany and the United States in the field of heart pathologies. He has the status of a professor for 21 years already.
