Dr. İhsan Solaroğlu

Professor İhsan Solaroğlu, Department of Neurosurgery. Currently, Professor İhsan Solaroğlu works as a practicing neurosurgeon and lecturer at Koch University. His secondary appointment is Associate Professor of Basic Research at the University of Loma Linda School of Medicine, California, USA.

His clinical interest focuses on neurovascular surgery and neurooncology. Dr. Solaroğlu’s research focuses on hematopoietic growth factors in neuroprotection after experimental stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury. His research has been published in high-level scientific journals including Stroke, Neuroscience, and Journal of Neuroscience Research. He is the author and co-author of more than 70 works and 50 presentations.

Dr. Solaroğlu has been awarded several times (including Professor Raji’s Young Neurosurgeon Award 2007, AACNS Young Neurosurgeon Award 2007) by different societies. Dr. Solaroğluis is currently the President of IBNC and Scientific Chair of the WFNS World Congress 2017.
