Prof. Bahadır Güllüoğlu

Head of Surgery at the Breast Center at Marmara University Hospital.

He received his medical education at Istanbul University (1985-1991). His post-graduate surgical specialization was held in 1991-1996 at the Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University Hospital.

In 1998, he was one of the founders of the Department of Chest and Endocrine Surgery, which was established in the Department of General Surgery of Marmara University. In 2000, he worked as an Associate Professor at the University of Bergen, Norway, and in the Department of Thoracic and Endocrine Surgery at the University Hospital of Haukeland. He was one of the founders of the Breast Center at Marmara University Hospital.

He is a member of medical organizations:

• Turkish Society of Surgeons;
• International Society of Surgeons (ISS-SIC);
• International Society of Chest Surgery (BSI);
• International Association of Endocrine Surgeons (IAES);
• European Endocrine Surgeons Society (ESES);
• European Society of Breast Cancer Professionals (EUSOMA);
• European Organization for Research and Treatment of Breast Cancer (EORTC-BCG).

From 2009 to 2012, Güllüoğluwas a co-founder of the Turkish-Bulgarian Endocrine and Breast Surgery Club and the main co-founder of the Turkish-Bulgarian Working Group on Endocrine Surgery.

In 2006, he was admitted to the Academy of the American College of Surgeons (ACS). Güllüoğluis also a member of the faculty of the Department of Surgical Sciences of the European Academy of Senology (EAoS).
