Oncology anf Oncohaematology Department at Essen Hospital

The BMT department of Essen Hospital is considered to be the leading one in Europe and second-best in the world. The oncology department, which is the most authoritative in Germany and Europe, diagnoses and treats the most complex forms of malignant neoplasms.

In addition to traditional chemotherapy, they actively use ‘targeted’ drugs, monoclonal antibodies, and substances that suppress the growth of neoplasms. The haematology department deals with haematological oncology and blood clotting disorders.

Here, unique methods of treating non-Hodgkin's lymphomas are developed, using high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem cell transplantation.

Essen University Hospital

Essen Clinic in Germany has been performing successful bone marrow transplants since 1975.
