The Beethoven Sanatorium is one of the largest rehabilitation and health centres in Teplice. It deals with orthopaedic surgery rehabilitation and the treatment of neurological disorders, respiratory system diseases, digestive system diseases, musculoskeletal pathologies, inflammation of veins and lymph nodes. The structure of this institution includes:
the Beethoven Hotel with 323 beds, which offers accommodation in comfortable single and double rooms and apartments;
an information centre and a library;
restaurant "Beethoven";
canteen (180 seats, national and dietary specialities);
day bar;

thermal pool (13.7 m by 9.5 m);

The Teplice Spa is the oldest spa resort in Europe, where such famous personalities as Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Wagner, Frederic Chopin, Hans Christian Andersen Johann Wolfgang Goethe and Arthur Schopenhauer have rested and recuperated. It was founded at the beginning of the 18th century with the architectural connection of eleven historic buildings. It was named after the distinguished guest, Beethoven.
Importantly, the hotel also preserves the Beethoven Suite, in which the world-famous German composer lived in 1812.
The last reconstructions of the Teplice Spa Hotel were carried out in 2007 and 2017. Each room at the Hotel Beethoven has a refrigerator, satellite TV, telephone, internet, safe, toilet, bathroom or shower.
There are all facilities for people with reduced mobility. The staff of the spa complex speaks English, German, Czech and Russian.

THE THERAPEUTIC BASE OF THE GREENHOUSE SANATORIUM COMPLEX
The Beethoven Health Spa has the largest and most highly technical treatment facilities in the Teplice Spa. The highlight of this spa is the unique PST device that stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissue. A leading Czech orthopaedic specialist, Jan Štěrba, works at the facility. He has a medical experience of 40 years. The doctor successfully rehabilitates sportsmen after serious injuries. The Beethoven Sanatorium offers the following treatment and rehabilitation procedures:
Charcot shower (hydromassage with contrasting water);
Massages (classical, reflexive, ayurvedic and hot stone);
Chocolate and paraffin wraps;
Laser therapy and acupuncture;
Vasopren (vacuum therapy);
Magnetotherapy (treatment with magnetic waves);
Ultrasound;
Microwave diathermy (anti-inflammatory therapy with microwaves);
Oxygen therapy (treatment of diseases with oxygen);
Lymphatic drainage (physiotherapeutic method aimed at removing excess fluid from the body);
Physical therapy (therapeutic exercise) and swimming pool therapy;
Inhalations, etc.
THE BALNEO-CENTRE AT THE BEETHOVEN HEALTH RESORT
The Beethoven sanatorium complex has a large natural thermal pool. The water temperature in the pool ranges from 39-41 degrees and the composition is bicarbonate-sodium with fluoride and other rare elements that have a disinfecting effect.
Swimming in such water relieves muscle hypertonicity and relieves pain, as well as bringing relaxation and relief.
The thermal pool at the spa has special massage jets set at different heights, allowing for a hydromassage of all parts of the body. There are both group activities and individual swimming.
Bathing in thermal water is indicated for:

myocardial spasm;
sciatica;

diabetes mellitus;

coronary heart disease;

The price of a recovery and treatment programme at the Beethoven Centre depends on the range of treatments chosen and the length of the therapy. Importantly, the treatment price includes 2 doctor's examinations and a course of water therapy at Belinska Kyselka.
The spa complex is located in the centre of Teplice. There is a large park, many fountains and walking paths nearby. It offers the most comfortable conditions for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
Sanatorium Beethoven is situated 92 km away from Prague's Ruzyně International Airport. You can get to Teplice Spa from the Czech capital by Arriva Stredni Cechy Express bus, R train of Czech Railways (departure from Praha hl.n station) or by city taxi.
The Golden Heart Guesthouse, the Richmond Teplice Hotel, the House of Culture, Pizza Coloseum, Joy Casino and the Czech Post Office are all located near the wellness centre.
