The Klimkovice Spa and Rehabilitation Center is one of the largest health and rehabilitation facilities in the Czech Republic. It has more than 20 years of experience in neurorehabilitation for adults and children. The clinic is located in an ecologically clean area - in the woodland at the foot of the mountains. In Klimkowice we treat adult patients and children with motor and psychomotor disorders resulting from craniocerebral injuries, cerebral palsy, strokes, consequences of surgical interventions on the brain, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease. The centre's rehabilitation specialists pay great attention to improving the memory, speech, cognitive skills, and psychological health of patients. Klimkovice also provides rehabilitation and treatment of orthopaedic (arthritis, arthrosis, joint endoprosthetics) and gynaecological patients.
The Klimkovice complex consists of two main hospital buildings. The first one is fully dedicated to the treatment and rehabilitation of adult patients, the second building is home to the children's ward. Both buildings have comfortable patient rooms, rehabilitation and therapeutic rooms, swimming pools, games rooms, recreational and relaxation areas. The territory of the complex is equipped with everything necessary for walks and active pastimes. In summertime, tennis and golf courts, open-air baths, and sports fields are available.
Features of the Clinic
Specialists at the centre use an extremely comprehensive and, most importantly, individual approach, combining motor therapy, speech therapy and psychotherapy techniques with the involvement of cognitive functions in the recovery process.
The Klimkovice Center has open-air baths with therapeutic iodobromine saltwater. The water is extracted from several wells about 500 meters deep from an underground salt lake. This type of mineral water is identical to seawater, but with much higher concentrations of bromine and iodine. Water from the springs is used exclusively externally and has proven effective in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system (arthrosis, arthritis, osteochondrosis, rheumatism, injuries). In addition, high concentrations of iodine in this water helps relax muscular spasticity.
Spa treatment at Klimkovice usually includes 30-40 sessions per week, which are individually tailored to the needs of each patient and include physical therapy, therapeutic exercise, massage, exercises with the Redcord subscription system, gym classes, thermal baths with mineral water, magnetic therapy, electrical stimulation, paraffin baths, oxygen therapy and much more.

The Klimkovice Rehabilitation Center is located in the suburbs of the town of Klimkovice, almost on the Czech-Polish border in an ecologically clean area. The international airport Ruzyně in Prague is about 350 km away, and the trip takes about 3.5 hours. The nearest large city is Ostrava (16 km). Patients can get to the sanatorium by flying to Prague, Brno (the distance from Brno to Klimkovice is about 155 km) or by train to the nearest town - Ostrava.
The Klimkovice Center is situated in a picturesque landscape, surrounded by forest, at the foot of the Lower Esik Mountain. On the territory of the complex, there are comfortable buildings for accommodation, and catering establishments belonging to the sanatorium. Outside the sanatorium, there are several cafes and restaurants. In the summer period entertainment includes outdoor sports, therapeutic baths Priznitsa, miniature golf. Also at the disposal of patients are indoor gyms, iodine-bromine baths, and a swimming pool.
