All special procedures necessary for the treatment of vascular diseases are available at St. Augusta Hospital. In addition, they offer interventional radiology and endovascular therapy. Catheter techniques (e.g., left-sided cardiac catheterization) and stents are used in the treatment of vascular and cardiac diseases, often avoiding the need for a full-fledged surgical procedure. Almost 90% of patients with aortic aneurysms at the clinic are treated with minimally invasive techniques. One of the best vascular surgeons at the St. Augusta Clinic is Prof. Ralf Kolvenbach.

The Augusta Hospital also treats varicose veins. Over 700 patients a year undergo surgical removal as well as laser treatment of varicose veins here.

The Department of Internal Medicine at St. Augusta Hospital is one the oldest of the hospital and has been in existence since 1904. The hospital has a reputation as a leader in internal medicine due to its excellent physicians.
