Modern medical equipment avaliable at Anadolu hospital

  • Fusion biopsy is a method that identifies areas suspected of prostate cancer and provides millimetre-accurate biopsy sampling from these areas using high-tech equipment and software.
  • Robotic surgery with a Da Vinci surgical robot is used to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures of any complexity for treatment of various diseases with minimal risks to the patient's health.
  • PET-CT, PET (positron emission tomography) and CT (computed tomography), combined in a single device, represent an advanced imaging method that provides more information than these methods do separately.
  • The Respiratory Laboratory at Anadolu Medical Centre diagnoses and treats lung disorders. Various tests and procedures are performed here to quickly identify breathing problems and treat them.
  • CTC method, which is based on a simple blood test, has the approval of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for certain types of cancer, and at present only a few countries (Germany, Italy and the US) offer this treatment. This technique allows to detect cancer cells in the patient's blood and even determine the type of cancer and stage of the disease.
  • CyberKnife M6 allows tumours to be removed surgically, preventing radiation exposure and avoiding damage to healthy tissue.

International Department of the Anadolu Hospital

The Anadolu Titanic Comfort Hotel, located on the hospital grounds, provides accommodation for patients from abroad and their companions. The Anadolu Titanic Comfort Hotel has 40 rooms and 82 beds. In addition to standard rooms, there are also suites equipped with kitchenettes for long-term stays. Special rooms are available for people with disabilities.

Anadolu's structure includes one of the most renowned bone marrow transplant centres in the Mediterranean region. The centre began providing services in June 2010. Today, up to 22 bone marrow transplants can be performed simultaneously.

The bone marrow transplant centre at Anadolu Medical Centre has an outpatient bone marrow clinic, an inpatient bone marrow clinic, an HLA typing laboratory, a haemapheresis laboratory, and a cryopreservation and stem cell processing laboratory. Cancer diagnosis at the molecular level is provided by flow cytometry and PCR, which allows the effectiveness of treatment to be monitored.

The decision to perform a transplant is made only after assessing the benefits of bone marrow transplantation for the patient.

The bone marrow transplant centre occupies two floors. A specially equipped room has been created here to cleanse visitors to patients of infections.

Bone marrow transplantation at Anadolu is used to treat:

  • AML acute myeloblastic leukemia;
  • ALL acute lymphoblastic leukemia;
  • non-Hodgkin's lymphoma;
  • Hodgkin's lymphoma;
  • multiple myeloma;
  • myelodysplastic syndrome;

Oncology Department at Anadolu Hospital

The Oncology Department at Anadolu Medical Centre successfully treats patients with cancer diagnoses thanks to its multidisciplinary approach, where a whole team of doctors works to provide patients with high-quality care: an oncologist, surgeon, radiologist, chemotherapist, pathologist, plastic surgeon, psychologist, physiotherapist, palliative care physician, and other specialists.

The Oncology Centre covers the following areas: medical oncology, radiation oncology, gynaecological oncology, haematological oncology, oncological screening imaging, and surgical oncology.

Anadolu Clinic closely monitors technological and scientific developments and offers the most advanced treatment options, such as Cyber Knife, da Vinci, Truebeam, and PET-CT.

The Centre pays particular attention to early cancer diagnosis. To this end, in 2016, Anadolu Hospital began performing CTC diagnostics (circulating tumour cell testing), which has become a real breakthrough in the diagnosis of cancer.

Diagnostics of stage 0 cancer at Anadolu Hospital

Particular attention is paid to early findings of cancerous process. For this aim, in 2016, the clinic in Anadolu started to conduct CTC diagnostics (a test for circulating tumor cells), which became a real breakthrough in the diagnosis of cancer. The CTC method (liquid biopsy, or circulating tumor cells) allows the tumor to be recognized when its size does not exceed 0,5 mm. Patients who pass this diagnosis on time increase the chances of complete cure to 100%. As a rule, behind this analysis, people with a genetic predisposition to oncological diseases turn to the clinic of Anadolu. Also, CTC is used not only in diagnosis, but also during treatment, for rapid adjustment of therapy. CTC in the clinic of Anadolu is conducted by one of the best oncopathologists of the world, Professor Hussein Baloglu.

Reproductive medicine at Anadolu Hospital

Anadolu Medical Center in Turkey has some of the highest rates in the field of reproductive medicine. At this clinic, IVF success rate for patients under 35 years of age is more than 60%, which is much higher than in clinics in the United States of America.

Anadolu specialists effectively apply such methods as: ICSI – sperm injection in the ovum, as well as TESA and Micro TES – selection of the most active and viable sperm in the laboratory.

Anadolu Hospital uses preimplantation genetic diagnosis, which enables the selection of the embryo without any genetic abnormalities.
