Head of the Department of Neurobiology with almost 40 years of experience.
He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Istanbul University in 1975.
He received his doctorate in neurology in 1982 at the Gulhane Military Medical Academy in Istanbul. In 1984-1986, he received a clinical internship in the Department of Neurology at the University of Vanderbilt in the USA on speech and language impairment. In 1987, he became Associate Professor and in 1993, he received the title of Professor of Neurology.
In 1989, he was awarded the TÜBITAK award for his research work entitled “Memory functions in patients with aphasia”. He currently works at the University of Uskudar, in the department of speech and auditory rehabilitation.
Specialization: neuroscience, language therapy, Alzheimer’s disease.
