Prof. Konstantinidis is a graduate of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his residency in general surgery at Riverside Methodist Hospital, owned by Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. He has participated as a visiting professor in over 400 Greek and international conferences.
A renowned surgeon, Dr Konstantinidis actively shares his expertise and often performs surgeries live on TV shows and conferences. Currently, he has over 14,000 laparoscopic and over 750 robotic surgeries in his experience. – He was one of the first surgeons in Greece to introduce and implement laparoscopic and robotic surgeries. In 2000 he introduced the Aesop3000 robotic system and in 2006 he introduced the Da Vinci system in Greece. He is currently practising surgery in his clinic and trains other surgeons in minimally invasive surgery.
