Dr Ihsan Yilmaz is a leading ophthalmologist at Liv Vadistanbul Hospital and one of the most experienced specialists in the country. He has more than 10,000 successful surgeries to his credit.
The doctor graduated from Turkey’s Uludag University. After that he moved to the USA where he practised for a long time. He was the first and only foreign specialist to be trained by the famous American ophthalmologist Vance Thompson, who has the largest number of Lasik surgeries to his credit. Dr Ihsan Yilmaz also practised with other renowned specialists – Drs Alison Tender, Keith Rasmussen, Dou Wailin.
Dr Yilmaz practised at the world-renowned Stanford University Hospital, where he worked on the development and implementation of new medical treatments. He also authored a popular guide to phakic intraocular lenses that continues to be used in American hospitals. In addition, he has published over 100 scientific publications and has given 20 lectures on 5 different continents.
