Dr. Karl-Friedhelm Beyersdorf

Professor, Doctor of Medicine, holder of the title “Honorary Doctor”, Chief Physician at the Cardiology Center of the University Hospital Freiburg. Prof. Friedhelm Beyersdorf is a recognized specialist in the field of pathological anatomy, thoracic surgery, cardiac and vascular surgery. Studied in Germany at the University of Johann Wolfgang Goethe, and also abroad – at the Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, USA.

In 1980 he passed the American State Medical Examination. Achieved specialization in thoracic, cardiac and vascular surgery in the basis of the Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, as well as the Department of Cardiac Thoracic Surgery of the University of California. In 1994 he was awarded the title of Professor in the field of cardiac and vascular surgery. And in 2000 he was awarded the title of “Honorary Professor”, which was awarded by the Brazilian University of Marilia.
