About the doctor
Prof. Cheol-Woo Yang is an experienced nephrologist.
The doctor has been working at St Mary’s Hospital for over 30 years. Today, he is the Director of the Organ Transplant Research Centre, Director of the Organ Transplant Centre, and Head of the Department. He is also the President of the Korean Society of Nephrology and actively participates in various international organisations such as the Asian Society of Transplantology and the Asia Pacific Society of Nephrology. For his outstanding contributions to medicine, Professor Yang has been awarded many prestigious honours, including the award from the Prime Minister of Korea for the developments in the fields of healthcare and medical technology.
He has also published more than 300 scientific articles.
