Dr. Šerpytis Pranas

He has been working in the medical field since 1983. During this time he has performed many complex heart surgeries. Dr Pranas specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, heart rhythm and conduction abnormalities, and heart failure. Has attended advanced training courses in 10 countries.

Education:

• 1983 г. – Graduated from the Kaunas Medical Institute;
• 1994 г. – Doctoral degree in medicine;
• 2012 г. – received the title of professor of medical sciences;

Professional experience:

• Since 2012 has been a cardiologist at the Medical Diagnostic Centre;
• Since 2012 professor at Vilnius University;
• Advisor to the CEO at the Santariš Clinic since 2010;
• 2003-2004 advisor to the Minister of Health.

Membership:

• Since 2010 – Secretary of the Lithuanian Society of Cardiology;
• 2005-2010 – President of the Lithuanian Heart Association;
• Since 1999 – external consultant in cardiology at the Ministry of Health.
• 1997-2004 – Chairman of the Vilnius branch of the Lithuanian Heart Association.
