About the doctor
He is head of the Department of Hematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology of University clinic of Düsseldorf. Graduated from the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at the University of Ruprecht-Carls in Heidelberg. Passed his internship in internal medicine at the University Clinic of Mainz. For a long time, he conducted studies of hematopoietic bone marrow stem cells in Toronto. Later on worked as a senior consultant and coordinator of the bone marrow transplantation program at the Düsseldorf clinic. In addition to clinical practice, prof. Rainer Haas continues to conduct research projects in the direction of gene therapy in collaboration with the German Center for Molecular Hematology and Oncology (DKFZ).
Specialization of the doctor: acute and chronic leukemia, malignant lymphomas, sarcomas, plasmacytoma, myelodysplastic syndromes, multiple myeloma, allogeneic stem cell transplantation, clinical molecular biology.
