The Schneider Clinic is an Israeli children's general hospital that annually assist 275,000 outpatient and 13,500 inpatients from 0 to 18 years to get rid of chronic and acute diseases.
The hospital consists of 82 departments, 4 of which are recognized as 100% leaders in their areas: Center for Hematologic Oncology, Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes, Center for Cardiology, Transplantation Unit.
Every year, over 8,200 operations are performed at the clinic, including 500 - cardiovascular and over 220 - neurosurgical operations. In the Organ Transplant Center, about 40 organs are successfully transplanted each year.
Hospital has 350 doctors, 52 of whom are professors. This clinic has twice won the Israel Prize for achievements in medical research.
The Schneider Children's Hospital has been accredited by JCI and certified with ISO-14001. Clinic is also recognized as the second in the world in Quality Of Patient Care.
FOR THE FIRST TIME IN ISRAEL THE SCHNEIDER CLINIC:
Conducted an open heart surgery for a premature newborn with a weight of 780 grams.
Performed the simultaneous transplantation of several interconnected organs (cluster transplantation).
Started a minimally invasive pulmonary valve transplant.
Found a new gene (SOBP), which is responsible for the development of mental retardation.
FEATURES OF STAYING AT THE HOSPITAL SCHNEIDER
Nutrition of young patients is prepared by certified nutritionists. Parents have the right to stay with the child 24/7. For them, folding chairs with bed linen are placed near each hospital bed. The ward has a toilet, shower, kitchen and refrigerator. To accompanying person they bring lunch and snacks.
