Cellthera Clinic Laboratory
The medical procedures at the Cellthera Clinic are carried out in a unique laboratory. It uses Dr Jaroslav Michalek's proprietary method of obtaining stem cells from adipose and connective tissue, which is more effective than standard methods.
The technology used at the Cellthera Clinic is based on using the full potential of the stromal vascular fraction (SVF), which specialists isolate from adipose and connective tissue. Normally, doctors only use the stem cells that are in the SVF. However, the Cellthera Clinic has found that the remaining components of the stromal vascular fraction also have a regenerative effect and help alleviate degenerative processes in cells.
The Cellthera laboratory is approved by the National Institute for Drug Control under Act 296/2008 Coll.
All the procedures that take place at the clinic are safe. They are carried out by doctors with over 15 years experience, including the founder of the clinic, the renowned Dr Jaroslav Michalek. The specialists have experience working in hospitals in Europe and the USA.
Stem cells are immature cells in the body. Thanks to certain stimulation, they can change into any kind of cell, which helps to repair damaged organs and tissues. They take an active part in the growth process in children. The transformation of stem cells is controlled by the neighbouring tissues. That is, if a cell is implanted into bone, it will become part of the bone tissue, etc.
For use in medicine, the cells need to be isolated from human adipose or connective tissue. Cells taken from adipose tissue are called stromal cells and are the most commonly used in regenerative cell therapy.

Features of the Clinic
Diagnosis at the Cellthera Clinic
The CelltheraClinic is often visited by patients who have been treated by different doctors for a long time to no avail. The reasons for their ailments may be due to rare diseases that require special advanced treatment. Cellthera has the state-of-the-art equipment required for accurate and speedy diagnosis. One can turn here for help with:
chronic inflammation;
memory problems;
hereditary illnesses (metabolic disorders, diabetes, myocardial infarction, stroke, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, etc.)
obesity;
high blood pressure;
diabetes mellitus;
low immunity;
frequent infectious diseases;
increased fatigue;
prolonged malaise with unclear causes.
Cancer treatment and dendritic cell therapy at the Cellthera Stem Cell Centre
The Cellthera Clinic uses stem cells, immunotherapies and blood plasma-based medicines to treat malignant tumours. These methods are an adjunct to standard therapy and cannot replace surgery or chemotherapy. However, they allow the organism to recover better and tolerate the treatment more easily. Stem cells in cancer therapy can help to replace damaged structures in the body, e.g. after chemotherapy or a complex surgery.
Cellular immunotherapy is used at the Cellthera Centre:
in the early stages of cancer - as a powerful activator of the immune response against tumour cells;
at later stages of the disease or in the case of recurrence, as an adjunct to the main treatments.
These drugs activate the patient's immune system to fight the tumour.
New developments in immunotherapy and cell therapy are constantly being introduced at the clinic. The experts at the Cellthera Clinic, in collaboration with several European universities, have developed an anti-cancer vaccine that is created from the patient's immune cells.
This is dendritic cell therapy. Dendritic cells are specialised cells of the human immune system that are capable of inducing powerful immune reactions and thereby inhibiting the growth of malignant tumours. This type of cell is isolated directly from the patient's blood. Cellthera uses a special proprietary technology, which has received European Technology Certification, to create DC vaccines.
Today, Cellthera specialists are actively using dendritic vaccines to treat different types of cancer:
mammary gland cancer,
lung cancer,
stomach cancer,
uterine and cervical tumours,
colorectal cancer,
pancreatic cancer,
kidney cancer,
soft tissue and bone sarcomas,
brain tumours (glioblastoma),
skin cancer - melanoma.
Orthopaedics and traumatology at the Cellthera Stem Cell Centre
Cellthera Hospital treats acute and chronic orthopaedic pathologies and deals with sports injuries. Most often patients come for treatment of osteoarthritis, chondropathy, arthritis, bursitis and other conditions. The therapy uses stem cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Stem cells are injected into the sites of injury. They help to regenerate cartilage and bone, improve the production of synovial fluid and the elasticity of joint tissues. This slows down the progression of the disease. In case of fractures, the cells contribute to better bone union.
Blood plasma is used as a source of nutrients and growth factors. It helps the patient's cells to grow faster and repair the damage. Cellthera specialists use this approach as an adjunct to basic therapy. The treatment is used for:
sports injuries - "tennis elbow", "jumper's knee", Achilles tendon pain, shoulder injuries;
chronic wounds;
joint pain - especially in the early stages of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis;
post-operative musculoskeletal problems.
Anti-ageing therapy and rejuvenation at the Cellthera Stem Cell Centre
The Cellthera Clinic's aesthetic centre specialises in facial and body rejuvenation treatments, lipofilling, plasmolifting and liposuction. The therapies most often involve the use of stem cells from a patient's adipose tissue and blood plasma.
Doctors use blood plasma for facial rejuvenation, hair restoration and skin improvement. The plasma preparations saturate the cells with beneficial elements. Wrinkles are smoothed out and the skin becomes firmer and softer.
To get rid of bags under the eyes, lift the face and fill in nasolabial folds, the doctors at the CelltheraCentre use the patient's fatty tissue (lipofilling). Before the procedure, the fat is extracted by liposuction from small areas of the body (buttocks, legs).
For extraction of fat tissue, doctors use an innovative approach to liposuction - Body-Jet equipment. The machine uses special water jets - the operating fluid is thus injected into the patient's tissue at low pressure, gently separating it.
This method makes it possible not only to avoid increased trauma to nerve fibres and vessels but also to obtain the accumulation of fat cells with minimal damage. The fat cells are then injected under the person's skin. The fat that contains many stem cells and nutrients creates a rejuvenating effect. Fat tissue fills in wrinkles and folds and stem cells replace "aged" skin structures.
PRP therapy is also performed after a hair transplant. It accelerates tissue healing and hair follicle growth.

Regenerative laser therapy at the Cellthera Clinic
One of the innovative techniques used by the doctors at Cellthera Clinic is regenerative laser therapy or low-intensity laser therapy. This method is based on the use of a laser light spectrum. In contrast to surgical lasers, which damage tissue and cells, gentle soft lasers supply the body with the necessary energy, activating the regenerative process.
The technique was officially approved in 2005 in all EU countries, including Germany and the Czech Republic. Laser therapy uses blue, green, yellow, red and infrared spectra. Each laser colour has a different effect on the tissue, stimulating specific cellular components and growth factors. The effectiveness of laser therapy as one of the stages of comprehensive treatment has been proven in numerous clinical trials throughout the European Union. Three basic types of therapy are available at Cellthera Hospital:
local laser;
transcranial laser;
intravenous laser.
Transcranial laser therapy is actively used as a holistic treatment and rehabilitation for patients with:

Treating pain with cryotherapy at the Cellthera Clinic
Cryotherapy uses cold to:
the treatment of joint pain;
chronic inflammatory conditions - rheumatoid arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia, etc;
recovery from musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries;
recovery from plastic surgery;
muscle-strengthening;
relaxation of muscle spasms;
treatment of oedema;
hair loss;
body rejuvenation.
Exposure to low temperatures improves regeneration and oxygenation of the injured part of the body.
When using localised cryotherapy, doctors use carbon dioxide chilled to -70°C. It is applied to the affected area (such as a painful joint) for 1-4 minutes. The procedure may be repeated for several days depending on the severity of the problem and the doctor's recommendation.
Infusion and detoxification at the Cellthera Clinic
Vitamin complex treatment is used to treat chronic fatigue and stress. Vitamins C and D strengthen the immune system, promote the formation of collagen in connective tissues, improve physical performance and psychological well-being. In addition, vitamin A, vitamin E, B-vitamins, glutathione, citicoline or magnesium can supplement the treatment complex.
