Asklepios Nord Hospital

Neurosurgeons at the clinic prefer minimally invasive endoscopic surgery. These are interventions in which an incision of less than 1 centimetre is made. The physician passes instruments through it and performs the manipulation. Patients recover within 2-3 weeks. In contrast, open surgeries are painful and take at least 2 months to recover.

Asklepios Nord has the most successful brain surgery statistics. This is made possible with the help of an intraoperative MRI scanner. This unit allows 3D images of the brain to be taken during surgery. Thus, the doctor can see where he or she is pointing the instruments and the risk of mistakes is reduced.
